Southampton/Olpe: Snowflake Software and grit gmbh announce the availability of an ALKIS® DHK (data base component) in Q4, 2008.

Intergeo 2008 presents the first opportunity for users to see the benefits of using Open Standards (GML/NAS) within an open IT Environment. The announcement from grit gmbh and Snowflake Software introduces the future of NAS data – supporting a company’s IT Infrastructure.   

The primary goal is to enable a web based infrastructure for the provision of ALKIS data – including NAS data - but most importantly as a high performance Web Feature Service. Geodata is really only of true value when it is embedded at a service level within a specific application and can be utilized without the need for a highly qualified, expert workforce or GIS systems.  In order to achieve this, it must be provided as part of a stable and long-lasting IT infrastructure. Managing Director of grit gmbh, Andreas Rose, explains, “Our technology has been designed towards, and is perfectly suited to, a service oriented architecture and implementation within an organisation’s centralised data warehouse. A good example of this is the Geoproxy in Thüringen – our joint project with Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The development of this ALKIS® DHK with Snowflake Software fits seamlessly into this strategy and is an important next step in our approach towards web based technology.”

Auf der Intergeo 2008 besteht für interessierte Anwender Gelegenheit, sich von den Vorteilen offener Standards (GML/NAS) innerhalb einer IT-Umgebung zu überzeugen. grit GmbH und Snowflake Software stellen die zukünftige Nutzung von ALKIS ® als integrierter Bestandteil der IT-Infrastruktur einer Firma vor.
